ive been throwing these nationalities around rather frequently lately because I'm trying to extend my work permit. anyway, it usually goes, "where are you from?", "australia". "but you have an african accent?", "yes well, i'm originally from zimbabwe and didn't pick up much of an accent while in aus". "so why are you here? is it a girl?" the short of it is i wish i could make up a country where australians have zimbabwean accents so i can cut out the middle man in pretty much all of my conversations.
zimalia - yes it's a real country
