248 - Vashti Bunyan

so i like her stuff, truly. she disappeared for a long time because she thought no one liked her music and then one day she gets a computer an internet connection and discovers a whole new generation that loves her music. which goes to prove a good point i keep saying to people who think that "generation y" doesn't have anything to identify with, live for, you know the general arbitrary claims that they think they have the right to identify with us.
Music is done differently with us. mtv and radio are not accurate displays of our generations music tastes. the internet people is where it's at. community centre star killed the fireplace star, radio star killed the community centre star, video killed the radio star, and internet killed the video star. my generation are the internet generation. we listen to music on the internet and not on tv or radio. so in general "video star generation" comment on "internet star generation" based on what they see and hear on tv and radio. of course it's going to be distorted. and now a "video/radio star" has found a "internet generation" more interested in her music than her own generation. i'm being completely general but seriously when my friends get together and talk about music they found and liked, we never mention tv or radio. it's all internet.

and while i'm at it. she's still stunning. although i think woman should embrace age with open arms. make up does get rid of wrinkles but it flattens your face and makes it boring, gray hair is natures way of lessening the contrast against your face and actually makes your face look fresher. wash your hair less often, consume more olive oil, and let your natural oils treat your hair. there is nothing more hideous than a woman trying very hard to stay young in some sort of competition with actual younger girls. why? like they can hold a candle to your layers of beauty. i mean judy dench is like a three hundred years old but she still turns my head.
